Description
The violin is a four-string chordophone musical instrument, made of different parts and woods assembled together. It was introduced in the Yaqui culture from the beginning of the evangelization at the beginning of the 17th century.
It is the most versatile instrument used by the Yaquis, since it intervenes in all kinds of musical manifestations, from the ritual-liturgical and paraliturgical music of the dances, to the secular music of the popular song.
