Description
Underwood brand mechanical typewriter, has a black lacquer paint finish, retains all its keys which are framed by nickel-plated rings. The typewriters of this brand witnessed facts and events in world history, because they were among the first to be manufactured.
To attest to the foregoing, this machine was used to write the letters addressed to General Lázaro Cárdenas requesting respect and autonomy for the Yaqui territory, at the time of 1937-1940; the drafting of such writings in parallel with the performance of other actions led to the presidential decree of 1940, which specifies the location of the land that was restored to the Yaqui tribe.
