The authorities of the church, particularly the main maestros, advise the new governors (five for each town: yo’owe law; second law; lieutenant law; mol law; mol alawasin law) to follow the norms with which they must guide. They are ordered to have respect for their particular people and towards other peoples; they must follow the good path and work with the community.<\/p>\n
Prohibited actions for a governor:
\n1) The sale of something illicit.
\n2) Fight or get drunk throughout their term.
\n3) Sell land to Yoris (not Yaquis).
\n4) Disrespect the singers and teachers of the church.
\n5) Running the people off the guard (drunks are the only ones who are kicked off the guard) (Mesri and Carl\u00f3n, 2019).<\/p>\n
